Milestones in Computer Troubleshooters History:

February 2008

In February 2008 the majority of Computer Troubleshooters Global was purchased by Merrymeeting, INC (MMI). MMI is an investment company which is exclusively focused on investing in and developing franchise companies. In total, MMI currently owns or controls 6 franchise companies with more than 1,700 franchised locations, approximately 25% of which are located outside the US. January 2008

Entrepreneur Magazine (US Based Business Publication) released its 29th annual list of the 500 hottest franchises of 2008. Computer Troubleshooters is named 251st overall and the top technology support franchise in the USA. For more details see  http://www.entrepreneur.com/franchise500/

November 2007

The 7th Annual CT Microsoft Asia Pacific Conference was held on the Gold Coast with a trade show of 15 vendors including new partners Optus, Melbourne IT, Datagard, and On Track data recovery. A highlight was the launch of our new Managed Services BEST product vendor with 24/7 NOC capabilty and help desk functions

October 2007

Computer Troubleshooters announces key partnership with Optus Small Business for Sales of ADSL2+, Mobiles, Blackberry, and Fusion data/voice bundles.

July 2007

Computer Troubleshooters arrives in Ghana

May 2007

Spheritec joins the Computer Troubleshooters preferred vendor team with their online backup service Datagard they allows scheduled off site backup Australia wide.

September 2006

Representatives from Austria and Bulgaria attend UK-European Conference with a view to evaluating Computer Troubleshooters for their respective countries.

June 2006

Significant growth into Romania with 10 franchisees established in six months. This may well be the forerunner to new expansion into Eastern Europe.  

January 2006

Wilson & Suzanne McOrist are joined by Chip Reaves in the management and ownership of Computer Troubleshooters International.

January 2005:
Now operating in 21countries with over 430 franchise locations!

October 2004:
Computer Troubleshooters has expanded to 17 countries and over 400 franchises worldwide.

January 2003:
"Now operating in 12 countries with around 200 franchisees.

January, 2001:
Australian based Computer Troubleshooters now operates over 70 locations in eight countries, making it the largest computer service franchise in the world.

June, 2000:
Our expansion continues with Master Franchises in Singapore, England, and Canada. Hong Kong was added just a few weeks later.

April, 1999:
Computer Troubleshooters enters the USA when Chip Reaves begins converting his existing CHIPTECH business into a CTS Master Franchise for Georgia.

February, 1999:
CTS has 17 franchisees across Australia and New Zealand.
Chip Reaves & Wilson McOrist meet in Coffs Harbour, Australia to discuss bringing the Computer Troubleshooters concept to the USA.

March, 1998:
Computer Troubleshooters expands into New Zealand.

June, 1997:
The first Computer Troubleshooters franchise opens in Sydney, Australia.

August, 1996:
Wilson McOrist sells his accounting franchise (Express Bookkeeping), begins research and development for a new small business computer service franchise.
